SPRING
GALLERY

by TOM BOPP

From this vantage, you can just about hear my piano music drifting across the lawn. 100 years ago, it would have been the manager's wife, Estella Washburn, on the parlor upright piano.

In the evening, we'd sit on the verandah
(on my off nights) and listen to old Fritz
Kreisler recordings. In 1987, the upstairs
rooms were renovated and made available to
guests.
Before then, it was home to a
happy band of employees.
What a life!
