     This view is from Shirley Sargent's book, 
"Yosemite's Historic Wawona," taken (I'm 
guessing) around 1949.
     With an antique car club in-house, I was 
inspired to do this re-creation in 1984.  The 
smoke is from the barbeque.  Note the tree 
next to the pool--it's a stump, now.
Here's the deer photo.  One must always have a deer photo in a Yosemite photo-album.  I took it in a little glen near the Wawona tennis court around 1984.
