SUMMER
GALLERY

Things change, but not Wawona, much.
      Wawona, ca. 1920

When I began working here in 1983, the color scheme was gray and cream.  And they'd lost the spittoon.
In '87, we went to teal, pink, and ivory.  Henry Washburn's portrait now hangs over the fireplace (one of the founders of the hotel), and a bust of Galen Clark (who established the first hotel in the area in 1857) rests on the mantle.  The wallpaper was again changed in the summer of 2004, so I guess I'll have to make another photo before they change it again!
